Love on the Streets: Serving People Experiencing Homelessness

At The Sowing Sheep, what we do goes beyond clothing. We’ve committed to giving 50% of our profits back to God’s Kingdom, and one of the ways we live this out is through “caring for His flocks”—serving people in practical, real ways.

A Calling to Give Back

In October 2025, we felt led to go out and serve people experiencing homelessness in our local community.

We visited a well-known area in NSW, where many are living without stable housing. We didn’t go with a big plan—just a simple intention to give, listen, and love.

What We Witnessed

It was confronting.

Many people didn’t have proper shelter and were exposed to the cold and rain. Some looked like they hadn’t eaten, and others were dealing with addiction.

It’s one thing to hear about homelessness, but being there in person really puts things into perspective.

More Than Just Giving

We took time to sit, talk, and listen. To hear a bit of their stories and simply be present.

We were able to give out food, water, and even a tent.

But more than anything, we wanted to share the love of Jesus.

We prayed with people, encouraged them, and reminded them that they’re not forgotten—that they’re deeply loved by God.
